It's really weird, isn't it? That we - so called normal people - are looking forward to live longer, enjoy life, achieve more in our times, marry beautiful girls, have smart kids and stash more money. There are so many people, in this world, suffering in silence with only one single hope that, someday, death would pay them a visit! How hard it is when people look at you and you see in their eyes that you are nothing but a poor little shadow walking desperately towards its death. “That’s what bothers me most, is being another unremembered casualty in the ancient and inglorious war against disease. ![]()

It turns out both books (as well as many others about this old lady) are by the same author, Lucille Colandro and illustrator Jared Lee. I was intrigued to read this book because I remember a story that was read to me when I was little about an old lady swallowing a fly. This was a pretty imaginative and creative book that listed all the letters of the alphabet that a supposed old lady swallowed, as well as several words that started with the letter each page was dedicated to. ![]() ![]() ![]() The material varies in quality, effectiveness and level of violence, but on the whole the stories testify to an imaginative writer with a skilled, even sublime grasp. This is the first collection of short stories by DiCristofano-the title’s “Volume 1” designation presumes more are to be expected, and that’s not a bad thing, not a bad thing at all, especially for fantastic-fiction fans whose tastes run more toward thoughtful awe than splatterpunk and visceral torture-porn shock. ![]() Seven horror and fantasy stories inspire chills and awe in haunted and mythic locations, ranging from a serial killer’s lair to war-torn ancient Greece to the neglected Garden of Eden. ![]() 5/30/2023 0 Comments Too consumed skyla madi![]() She actually thought this would be easy…Jackson and Darryl laugh on the sidelines, pissing her off even more.
